Executive Partnering Program (For Senior Leaders)

The Executive Partnering Program is offered by John Cotter, a highly skilled professional with many years of international experience as a senior executive in both public and private companies. John has seen almost any business or personal challenge a senior executive could encounter, either directly or through ongoing engagements with hundreds of clients. This wealth of experience gained over the past 30-years has prepared him to be a highly effective sounding board who can put individual issues into a larger context.

Executive Partnering involves a series of no-holds-barred, frank and honest discussions. There are no internal constraints or hesitations – just an open relationship with a focus on helping the client do better.

John has advised senior executives from Alcoa, Allied Signal, AT&T, Blue Cross Blue Shield, British Telecom, Colgate-Palmolive, Cydsa Mexico, Exxon, Ford, General Electric, General Motors, Hewlett-Packard, Kraft Foods, Nabisco, Novacor, Polaroid, Shell, Sony, Sun Microsystems, Texaco, United Airlines and the World Bank, among others. He’s taught regularly in management programs at UCLA, UCSD, Pepperdine University, and the Claremont Graduate University over the past 25-years and has also been a consultant to the Ford Foundation, the National Science Foundation, the Institute for Social Research, and UCLA’s Human Resource Roundtable for Senior Executives. He’s the author of the best-selling book, The 20% Solution, published by John Wiley & Sons.

For the past six years, John has run monthly all-day meetings for high-growth CEOs and business owners in San Diego through the auspices of TEC International, the largest CEO development organization in the world with over 11,000 members. During his tenure with TEC, John has conducted over 5,000 hours of one-to-one mentoring conversations with local CEOs and business owners.
