Progam Overview:
Session #1 March 12, 2010: To Stay Or To Go? That's The Question!
As the economic recovery picks up steam, turnover - especially of top performers, is likely to skyrocket and finding replacement workers of the same caliber will be extremely challenging. If your company has suffered from set-backs, layoffs or budget cuts, your employees may feel frustrated and under valued. When job opportunities become more prevalent, will your employees exercise their options and seek ‘greener pastures’? In this session you will learn how to implement a robust retention strategy and take away practical ideas to ensure your best employees stay.
Hosted by: United Way
Special Feature: A panel of top performers from a variety of companies will share their insights about what will persuade top performers to stay, and what might entice them away.
Session #2 May 12, 2010: Warm Chair Attrition
The impact of ‘Post Layoff Survivor Disorder’ and the prolonged ‘psychological recession’ in 2008 have led to unusually low levels of employee engagement. In this session we will feature best practices from some of San Diego’s top companies on how to monitor, manage and increase employee engagement, including out-of-the-box methods to re-engage and re-recruit your best players so you 'own' them head and heart.
Hosted by: National University
Special Feature: Stay tuned: something unique is cooking.
Session #3 September 17, 2010: Bruised Banana? Restoring Your E-Brand
Many companies have not been able to deliver on their promises of career advancement, merit increase, better benefits and rewards this past year. Now is the time to restore your employment brand - to rebuild trust and loyalty. Forward-thinking companies will re-examine their ‘promise’, adjust the ground rules and reinvent their story about why top performers should choose to work for you, choose to dedicate themselves to your success and choose to stay.
Hosted by: Cox Communications
Special Feature: A panel of executives from a variety of companies will discuss the new employer-employee 'promise.' What can employees realistically expect from their employer?
Registration includes a guest pass for your senior executive to join you for breakfast and the Executive Panel discussion.
Session #4 November 5, 2010: The World Is Watching
With increased use of Twitter, Facebook, blogging and online rating services, your organization is more transparent than ever. In this session we will explore the new wave of Web 3.0 and how to optimize your recruitment efforts, protect your employment brand and use social networking applications to improve knowledge sharing and collaboration. Learn how to establish social networking guidelines for employees and monitor your online reputation.
